Abi's Arboreal Abode
Abi's Arboreal Abode &
Hammock Haven (AAAHH...)
This sweet little high-rise is a 15' yurt, nestled like a bird-nest 10' off the ground in a grove of walnut trees. Dedicated to the memory of our forest-dwelling friend, Abigail Dietz, this cozy shelter lets you spend some time with your head in the clouds and commune with her light-hearted and spunky spirit. Want to feel a bit more grounded? Slip below-deck and rock your cares away in one of the shaded hammocks swinging underneath next to the creek. This glamping site sleeps up to 4. When you stay in the treehouse, 10% of the proceeds go to Partnering with Abi.
A Yome Away From Home
A Yome Away From Home
This secluded retreat (created by the good folks at Red Sky Shelters in North Carolina), is tucked back in its own forested holler and blends the best features of a yurt and a geodesic dome. The 18' diameter shelter sleeps up to 6 and features reclaimed wood floors from the Berea College gymnasium, a small woodstove, a massive deck, and plans are the works to add a sauna for the perfect winter getaway. You'll also take in the wonderful fragrances of cedar every time you visit the cedar outhouse next door.
The Grand Tipi
The Grand Tipi
With a hundred forested acres to roam, you're sure to find the perfect spot. You can choose from our off-grid primitive sites to other peaceful spots with water and electric. You can also glamp it up in our massive, 24-foot tipi (with or without cots to keep you off the ground), or on the covered porch with utilities and a porch swing! If you need a cot for any location, we've got several for rent.
The Nook
The Nook
The Nook is a secluded, off-grid, 13-ft diameter "bell" tent tucked back in a shady part of the forest adjacent to a creek and our mushroom garden. It has its own firepit and bench for relaxing, but no utilities. Bring your own bed or rent a cot. Parking is across the creek from the site. Drive across at your own discretion. We cannot be responsible for damage.
RV Hook-Ups
RV Hookups
Even though there are enough hook-ups for 32 RVs, we limit the number to 8 at one time so folks can have a little more room to breathe. We have city water and 50-amp service, but no dump station. Please be advised that excessive rain may cause your RV to get stuck in the mud so be prepared.
Amenities
For your convenience, our shared-use bath house is open from April through October (or until freezing temperatures are in the forecast), and features four flush toilets and two solar-heated showers. Toilet paper is provided, but not towels or toiletries. Additionally, there is an outbuilding equipped with a telephone and kitchen appliances that guests are welcome to use as long as you clean up after yourself. For winter guests, we have built two outhouses (one near the treehouse and one near the yome), but won't be able to offer showering facilities at this time.
For your enjoyment, we have hiking trails, bird-watching, a nearby reservoir for fishing & swimming, campfire cooking, star-gazing, a playground, two disc-golf baskets, a cornhole set, a croquet set, and a canoe for rent. We do not have cell service or internet so prepare to unplug.
