Jessa has traversed 48 states and 8 countries in search of the ground beneath her feet. Her wings are slowly transforming into roots buried deep in her home state of Kentucky, where she graduated with a degree in Sustainability and Environmental Studies. Her chosen mission is to teach folks how to build miniature mansions of mud and straw, though it is not uncommon to see her playing with fyre. For at least 40 hours per week, she plays the role of Office & Farm Marketing Manager for the Berea College Agriculture & Natural Resources Dept, enjoying the irony of being the vegetarian who sells meat from the Berea College Farm.
Nathan Turner
Nathan is HomeGrown HideAways' jack-of-all-trades. He has a degree in Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management, but is also a Talented Tinkerer, Happy Hunter, Master Mower, Charming Chicken Chaser, and Fancy Food Farmer. Along with being a member of the Red Lick Volunteer Fire Department, Nathan spends around 40 hours per week sauteing and serving, grilling and garnishing, cooking and colluding with a jury of his peers at the Historic Boone Tavern Hotel & Restaurant. Lest you think they might be siblings, Nathan has somehow managed not to lose the entirety of his sanity being married to Jessa since April of 2002 (assuming he had some to begin with).
